What is Grokaro?
Grokaro is a billing, operations and support platform built specifically for Indian travel businesses. It includes a free invoice generator with GST support and a premium plan with full business management features including ledger, customer database, payment tracking, and more.
Is the free invoice tool really free?
Yes, 100% free forever. No signup needed. You can generate unlimited invoices, choose from 3 templates, add GST, download PDF, and share via WhatsApp/Email — all without creating an account.
What's included in Premium?
Premium (₹999/month) includes everything in free plus: save unlimited invoices, customer database with auto-fill, company profile, full ledger with debit/credit tracking, payment & receipt recording, bulk CSV upload, date filters, invoice editing, and priority support. Premium & Payment
How do I activate Premium?
1. Sign up at grokaro.com/signup
2. You'll see our UPI ID and bank details
3. Pay ₹999 via UPI or bank transfer
4. Submit your payment reference number + screenshot
5. Our team verifies and activates within 2-4 hours
6. You get 30 days of premium access
What payment methods are accepted?
UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.), Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS), and Cheque. UPI is fastest and recommended.
How long does activation take?
Usually 2-4 hours during business hours. After submitting your payment proof, our team manually verifies the payment and activates your account.
What happens when my Premium expires?
Your account goes to read-only mode. You can still login and view your data, but can't create new invoices or edit existing ones. Your data is safe — just renew to continue using all features.
Can I see my payment history?
Yes! Your dashboard shows all payments you've made to Grokaro — amount, date, method, and status (approved/pending/rejected). You can also see your total amount paid.
Invoices & GST
How does GST auto-detection work?
When you enter both your GST number and the party's GST number, the system checks the first 2 digits (state code). If both are from the same state → CGST+SGST. Different states → IGST. You can also manually select the GST mode.
Is GST calculated on the full amount?
No. GST is calculated only on Service Charges, not on the total amount. This is standard practice in the travel industry. The Amount column represents the base cost, and Service Charges is where your margin is — GST applies only to that margin.
Can I create invoices in foreign currency?
Yes! Both free and premium tools support INR, USD, EUR, GBP, AED, and SAR currencies.
What is bulk invoice upload?
Premium users can upload a CSV file with multiple invoices and create them all at once. Download the sample CSV from the bulk upload page, fill in your data, and upload. All invoices are created with proper terms & conditions automatically.
Ledger & Payments
What is the Ledger?
The Ledger shows a complete financial view per customer — all invoices (debits), payments received (credits), refunds, and running balance. You can filter by customer and date range. It's like a mini accounting book for each client.
How do I record a payment from a customer?
Go to Ledger → find the invoice → click "+ Pay" button → enter amount, date, method, and reference. The payment is recorded and the invoice balance is updated automatically.
How are refunds handled?
If you create an invoice with a negative amount (refund), it automatically appears as a credit in the ledger. This shows that you owe the customer money, and the balance adjusts accordingly.
Account & Security
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Go to Forgot Password page, enter your email, and follow the instructions. You can also contact admin@grokaro.com to have your password reset manually.
Can I edit my company profile?
Yes, but with a limit. You get 2 free edits. After that, contact admin@grokaro.com to request additional edits. This is to prevent accidental changes to your business details on saved invoices.
Is my data safe?
Yes. Your passwords are encrypted with bcrypt (industry standard). All data is stored on secure servers with HTTPS encryption. We don't share or sell your data to anyone.
Can I install Grokaro as a mobile app?
Yes! On mobile Chrome, visit the site → tap the browser menu (⋮) → select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App". On iPhone Safari, tap the share button → "Add to Home Screen". The site works as a full standalone app on your phone.
